Beautiful, high
quality, sterling silver spoon from New York dating back to years around 1900
featuring on the front of the handle very detailed images, starting on the top:
New York shield or coat of arms with banner reading EXCELCIOR, below golden rod
plant, then writing NEW YORK down the wavy handle. In the bowl it has embossed
very detailed image of building, the writing is NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY. On the
back of the handle there are following images: banner reading E PLURIBUS UNUM,
eagle with a shield, lady holding a scale of justice in one arm and a sword in
another arm. It is in excellent condition, measures 5-5/8” long (141 mm). It is
marked STERLING and has hallmark S in circle for Shepard Mfg. Co. Shipping on
