Rare 1930s, American Toy & Novelty, Raggedy Andy cloth BUDDY doll, no pants, hat

Description

This is one of the more unusual and hard to find, vintage cloth Raggedy Andy dolls produced by
American Toy & Novelty Manufacturing Co., Inc. (established in 1924) and shown on pages 34-37, "The Raggedy Family Tree"-Sue Garrison.
Also
shown on page 107, "The Collector's World of Raggedy Ann & Andy" volume 1-Tabbat
. Measuring, 15 inches long,
"BUDDY"
is cotton-stuffed cloth with
oil cloth
face and
blue shoes
with painted features including large
"pie-eyes",
four lower painted eyelashes and
smiling mouth
! In addition most of his, vividly printed clothing is an integral part of his body although he seems to be missing his blue trousers and hat. He still wears his original red yarn hair and separate ruffled collar. Part of their,
"
Huggable
Nursery Pet" line,
he is in very good overall condition with light wear such as light stains
from years of LOVE.
