Junk Journal Handmade.
Jewel of Heaven Junk Journal. Measures approximately 8”x6”x1 1/2” (rounded spine). She has approximately 128 pages with 3 sewn in signatures. Sewn in with hemp cord. Her closure is a snippet band made up of vintage lace, sari, beaded trim and fibers with an elastic band that fastens over a button.
Jewel of Heaven Junk Journal #116 began as a recycled cereal box covered with a canvas painting that says Follow Your Dreams in gold letters which you can see through the Sari fabric in the right lighting. The Sari silk is a beautiful teal with red thread running through it. It is layered with a vintage lace that I’ve hoarded for a while and this seems to be the best choice for it. There are so many beads dangling and jingling from this Junkie that the name Jewel Of Heaven seems appropriate. Although, you are the Jewel of Heaven. 😇🥰
