How much weight will the table hold?

Is the Top Smooth ? or Does it have Texture?
A:
If you try to write on a piece of paper with a pencil on the surface, you will notice a roughness. The texture is minimal when running your have over it. I use if for a sewing/cutting table so perfect smoothness was not an issue. Hope this helps.
Q:
Are the black tables just painted black or is it actually black plastic. I'm worried about them scratching and then everyone will see white scratches.
A:
The plastic is black, very durable too. Its safe to say you will never notice any scratches on this table as well.
Q:
Would this work as a dining table for Thanksgiving? How many could sit comfortably?
A:
This would work as an eating table. You could fit 6 comfortable or 8 snugly (as long as your chair width can accomodate 3 on each side).
Q:
Does the table actually produce a flat surface once unfolded, or does it have a bulge in the center like the cheap folding tables do?
A:
The table does not buckle or bulge in the center when unfolded. Nice, stable table. We used it at Christmas as a third place for folks to sit and eat. Plan to find a four foot one to use for cook outs in the summer.

Just received tables- how do I open them?
A:
On on one of the ends there is a small opening. Put your hands on each side and pull them apart. The two halves are attached to each other with strength so you need to pull hard. They will open straight out and then you secure each leg.

How thick is the top? I want to buy clamps for a tablecloth, but the ones I'm looking at fit 3/4" only.
A:
Try using clothes pins to hold her tablecloth down
