    The United States Mint American Innovation Coin Program is a
    multi-year series honoring innovation and innovators with coins
    from each State, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American
    Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Northern Mariana Islands.
    The obverse design features a dramatic representation of the Statue of
    Liberty in profile with the inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “”.
    The Virginia Coin
    recognizes the engineering marvel of the Chesapeake
    Bay Bridge-Tunnel. This design depicts a view of the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel
    as a cross section cut away, illustrating the ingenuity involved in constructing it.
    Inscriptions are “VIRGINIA” and “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”.
    The year of minting,
    mint mark,
    and inscription “E PLURIBUS UNUM” are incused on the edge of the coin.
